The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification examination allows Occupational Therapy Assistant graduates the ability to legally practice in the United States. At Stanbridge College, we strive to ensure each Occupational Therapy Assistant graduate is fully prepared to take and pass this exam through our unyielding commitment to their OTA education and COTA exam preparation.
The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) is a non-profit credentialing agency that provides certification for the occupational therapy profession. The NBCOT COTA examination serves the public interest by developing, administering, and continually reviewing a certification process that reflects current standards of competent practice in Occupational Therapy. As one of the final milestones before becoming a licensed OTA professional, the COTA's questions focus on your ability to make decisions in various patient care scenarios under critical conditions. The COTA exam requires that you understand the basic principles of Occupational Therapy Assistant and apply this to different elements of patient safety management.
Our unyielding commitment to our students’ preparation for the COTA exam includes cumulative review and exit exams in terms 1, 2, and 3 followed by a comprehensive end-of-program review and NBCOT COTA exam preparation. Stanbridge College continuously provides top-of-the-line examination preparation materials and courses to assist students in successfully completing their exam. These services are provided at no additional charge to our students.
